Pilot projects UB1 (under B1)

German language support for helper activities in construction, painting, wood, janitorial and cleaning.

About the course

UB1 pilot courses for crafts and home economics

The UB1 pilot courses are aimed at people with little knowledge of German (A1–A2) who want to orient themselves professionally in the trades or in home economics. The lessons are geared towards technical language and prepare specifically for helper activities in construction, wood, painting, janitorial service and cleaning.

The learning objectives are predominantly job-specific. In the lessons, the vocabulary, the means of speech and idioms that a helper could be confronted with in his everyday work, e.g. on the construction site or in the cleaning object, are taught. Training of pronunciation and the use of grammar are directly related to this.

In the language lessons themselves, based on the language level determined at the beginning, a goal is set for the course participants that makes integration into the labour market possible. This includes a defined understanding of language in the area of colloquial language and the necessary linguistic tools in the selected professional field.
