About the course

Professional language courses for better opportunities

The vocational language courses build on the integration courses and deepen German language skills in order to improve opportunities on the labour and training market.

Foreigners living permanently in Germany (including asylum seekers with good prospects of staying), EU citizens and Germans with insufficient language skills can participate. School-age children and adolescents are excluded.

Requirements

  • Have German language skills at level B1
  • have completed training in a non-academic health profession in their country of origin (health, nursing, maternity nurse, physiotherapist)
  • want to have their profession recognised or have already applied for recognition of their profession
  • Seeking to take up a job in a non-academic health profession
  • are already employed as a nursing assistant or assistant in a health profession and/or are currently undergoing an adaptation measure or preparatory measure for a knowledge test and need language support for successful completion

Information about the course

Aim of the course

After successful completion of the Telc German B1-B2 Care, the participant receives a
Certificate.

Duration

The basic module comprises 400 teaching units of 45 minutes each

Cost

Participation in the course is free of charge.
Exception: Employees must pay a cost contribution of 50% of the cost reimbursement rate.
*The courses are financed by the federal budget.

The aim of the job-related language courses is to successfully pass the final examination at the respective language level.

Professional language course

The aim of the courses is to successfully pass the telc German B2–C1 medical language exam for doctors.

After successful completion of the general job-related course B2, the participant receives a certificate from the sponsor in accordance with the CEFR.
